Rick Hopkinson was born in Winnipeg and it was there that he got his start in the automatic door and loading dock industry in 1979. He later moved to Saskatoon developing the business throughout Saskatchewan. In 1990 A-1 Power Door was formed to reflect the changing times, focusing primarily on automatic entrances. Rick is the General Manager of A-1 Power Door and takes a great deal of pride in offering his customers impeccable customer service, which has allowed the company to become one of the largest automatic door companies in Canada with offices throughout Western Canada. Rick states, "our employees make the difference, working through problems to create solutions, until our customers are completely satisfied. We are also dedicated to giving back to the community by helping others in need."
