Val Hopkinson

Val Hopkinson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She started her successful career working in the consumer goods industry for 16 years. In 1997 Val left the consumer goods industry to work in the real estate business in Winnipeg.

In May 2002, Val was the events coordinator for the 1st annual Winnipeg Wine Festival in support of Manitoba Special Olympics. This event was extremely successful and to this day the Winnipeg Wine Festival is one of the premier events in Winnipeg and hugely successful. Because of Val’s success in running the wine festival, she was asked in June 2002 to open and manage the Winnipeg office of A-1 Power Door.

From the small beginnings in Manitoba to today, the Winnipeg office has grown to be one of the major players in the automatic door and dock equipment industry.
