A-1 Power Door started operations in Saskatoon on September 1, 1990, focusing primarily on automatic entrance systems and became a specialist in the market. A-1 Power Door grew continuously becoming one of the largest automatic door companies in Canada; first opening a branch in Regina, then Calgary and Winnipeg. A-1 Power Door then spread its wings again, acquiring Adams Soundtronics, who specialized in nurse call, telephone, CCTV and sound systems. The latest expansion for A-1 was the opening of a business office in Edmonton in December, 2008.
